West Ridge Middle School's Fine Arts Project is continuing as scheduled and will begin this summer.
The highly-anticipated middle school fine arts areas are starting the planning and drawing phases. The Board was presented a May 2015 bond update at the January 26 meeting, as well as drawings for the Barton Creek Elementary playground, which will be funded using the May 2011 bond. The fine arts additions at both campuses and the BCE playground are slated to begin construction at the end of this school year. To learn more, check out the report below.
A report was presented to the Board of Trustees on November 17, 2015 that included information on the final projects for the 2006 & 2011 Bond, as well as the 2015 Bond Estimated Timeline.
There are several major projects that are in the design phase, with construction expected to begin as early as this spring, while smaller projects that are less intrusive to the campuses are beginning now. For example, the District is in the process of ordering three replacement buses, replacing uniforms, musical instruments and equipment, and replacing/upgrading computer devices, phones, and wireless infrastructure.
The tennis court resurfacing at Hill Country and West Ridge Middle Schools will begin in spring of 2016, while the fine arts additions are slated to begin construction at the end of this school year.
